Report writing (Giant Oceanic Manta Ray Part 1 of 2)

                        Giant Oceanic Manta ray

                             11.3.19

Habitat
The Giant manta ray only likes water for example
subtropical/tropical waters and (for obvious reasons)  oceanic/temperate waters as well. It may be found on shore but that is a funny sight that happens very rarely.
PREDATORS
Although the ray is a very huge length, Its worst predators are a bull shark (Probably one of the worst) a tiger shark and any other types of sharks that are bigger than the ray. There other main predators are false killer whales and normal killer whale but they might not see them often.
DIEt
They go for almost any kind of fish but it must be smaller than it’s self or it will not eat the fish.Their next type of food that they eat is plankton which is clearly it’s favourite prey and easiest animal to hunt for. It’s final foods that it likes to gobble up is a bit of shrimp and other crustaceans
POPULATION
Right now there’s just about 100 to 1,500 of them left also there population in size is lacking.Really there’s going to be none left soon.there’s loads but soon and I mean it they will become extinct.
BREEDING
They breed every two years and at the warmest seasons of the  year (like summer and spring). They probably have about 2 babies a year ( they might have more or less). The babies weigh about 25 pounds when born that’s probably x5 the size of us when we were born (they must be very heavy babies).

Ahoy Waitangi NAVY TRIP

Just after Harlen and I devoured our delicious lunch a NAVY sailor asked us if we would like to ride on one of the rhib boats. We said “yes please” so we immediately chucked our gear on then we jumped in the back of the boat. They slowly lowered us down. Then another sailor unhooked a chain and away we went. As soon as we left some dolphins were racing Straight ahead of us as we turned at different times. AHH!!!! This is one of the most worst rides I have been on (expect the time when I went on the Invader). It was so fast that our turn was already up! What a relief I said to myself quietly.  Oh!! Time for more lunch NOM, MUNCH, AHH.
